It’s been a while since I updated things here. The long gap is explained by my almost constant travelling since the spring.
So far this year I’ve been in Germany, Austria,UK, USA and Sweden playing shows and I ran a songwriting workshop while in the States.
I’m glad to announce that this coming Autumn I’ll be embarking on a UK-based songwriting course, close to home in the coastal town of Bridport. We start September 21st, then meet every Wednesday evening for ten weeks. All details can be found c/o www.lovelearningindorset.com.
This schedule only leaves room for occasional concert dates.
I’ll be in Germany the first half of September and Switzerland (with Clare Lindley) in late October. There will be more shows added and I’ll be doing a run of German dates beginning at the end of March next year (see Tour dates page for details).
Living Good has been selling well (we’re onto a second pressing) and picking up lots of positive reviews. I’ve really enjoyed getting out there to publicise it. Highlights included the first gigs I did with Clare Lindley (on fiddle and vocals), the May/June shows in the USA and my first trip to Sweden in early August.
Thanks to all of you who came out to support me or who bought a CD. Next year is my 40th official year as a musician and songwriter. I’m quietly amazed and exceedingly grateful that I’ve lasted so long – and apparently don’t have to stop just yet!
Cheers from here, Julian Dawson
